Tragedy in Melbourne's Southwest: Ever-smiling Punjabi man murdered

The news of the murder of a Punjabi-origin father of two young children in Melbourne's southwest has shaken the entire community. The body of 36-year-old Anmol Bajwa was found just 200 meters away from his home on a nearby park.


Victoria Police reported that the body of 36-year-old Anmol Bajwa, a resident of the Mambourin suburb, was discovered in a park near Elementary Rd on the morning of Tuesday, January 21, at 7:30 AM.

According to Anmol's close ones, he left his Mambourin home on Monday night and never returned.

Investigators have arrested a 31-year-old man from Brookfield in connection with the murder, and he was presented in court on, January 22.

Several of Anmol's friends expressed their grief on social media, paying tribute to him.

They wrote, "Anmol was a source of love, light, and inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him."

Remembering Anmol, one friend wrote, "Anmol's kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support will forever remain in everyone's hearts."

The captain of his cricket team Anmol leaves behind his wife, a 2-year-old son, and a 6-year-old daughter.
