The 2020-21 NBA season is fast approaching and SBS will again broadcast two live, regular season games per week in HD on SBS VICELAND and streamed live via SBS On Demand - starting December 27.
"This is my home, this is my city," Antetokounmpo said via Twitter.
"I’m blessed to be able to be a part of the Milwaukee Bucks for the next 5 years.
"Let’s make these years count. The show goes on, let’s get it."
The 26-year-old back-to-back MVP would have been a free agent next season had he not signed Milwaukee's supermax extension offer by Monday.
His new contract is worth US$228 million (A$300m) according to The Athletic and Stadium.

The Bucks will be thrilled to retain their superstar forward after heavy investment overhauling their squad in an effort to convince him to do so.
Despite strong regular-season performances, Milwaukee have so far failed to reach the NBA finals with the "Greek Freak".
Last season, he averaged 29.5 points, 13.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists to take out his second consecutive NBA MVP award as well as the Defensive Player of the Year award.
