Cairns Taipans v Adelaide 36ers
Wednesday 19:30 AEST tip-off - SBS On Demand
1. On a Roll
After snapping a six-game losing streak, the 36ers have now won two in a row.
This recent run of good form has helped Adelaide stay in touch with the top four and, with some key pieces set to return from injury, the opportunity is there for the 36ers to make a genuine playoff push.
36ers coach Conner Henry said: “We’re not looking past anybody. We’re just focused on our work… and starting to prepare for Cairns.”

Thursday 19:30 AEST tip-off - SBS On Demand
2. Resuming hostilities
There’s a bit of heat in this match-up as the Kings and Phoenix resume hostilities after clashing at this venue just four days prior.
3. A little bit of spice
Things got a little heated after the final buzzer on Sunday as Kings and Phoenix players exchanged hostile words mid-court.
It appeared SEM import Ben Moore took exception to some comments coming from injured Sydney star Xavier Cooks post-game.
New Zealand Breakers v Brisbane Bullets
Friday 19:30 AEST tip-off - SBS On Demand
4. Patterson v New Zealand
Bullets import Lamar Patterson plays his first game against his former team after parting ways with NZ midway through NBL21.
5. Heartbreakers
The Breakers suffered a really bad beat on Tuesday night when they went down to Perth in overtime.
New Zealand led by three points with 1.7 seconds remaining before Bryce Cotton sent the game into overtime with a buzzer-beater.
Tom Abercrombie said: “This is one of those games that’s very tough to let go and move on to the next one. It plays on your mind for a little bit but that’s what we have to do; let it go and move on. We play again in a few days.”
Perth Wildcats v Illawarra Hawks
Friday 21:30 AEST tip-off - SBS On Demand
6. Explosive scorers
This match-up features two of the most explosive scorers in the NBL; Perth’s Bryce Cotton and Illawarra’s Tyler Harvey.
Cotton is the league’s leading scorer and his ability to quickly put points on the board – especially in crunch time – was the difference between these teams last time they met.
Harvey is coming off a brilliant performance in which he scored 35 points in a gutsy Hawks win over South East Melbourne.
South East Melbourne Phoenix v Adelaide 36ers
Saturday 17:30 AEST tip-off - SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand
7. Ready for another thriller?
The past six games between the Phoenix and 36ers have all been decided by single digits, with two of their clashes this season already going to overtime. Buckle up for another classic!
Sydney Kings v Cairns Taipans
Saturday 20:00 AEST tip-off - SBS On Demand
8. Must-win game
As the Kings try to stay competitive despite being ravaged by injuries, this is a must-win game on their home floor against the league’s bottom team.
Melbourne United v Illawarra Hawks
Sunday 15:00 AEST tip-off - SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand
9. Making a statement
Melbourne star Jock Landale has been in terrific form lately, having produced four consecutive double-doubles.
Against the Hawks, however, Landale has been pretty quiet this season; averaging 13.6 points and just 6.6 rebounds per game across their match-ups.
Perth Wildcats v New Zealand Breakers
Sunday 17:00 AEST tip-off - SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand
10. 100% pure Cotton
The Breakers did a fantastic job of making life difficult for Bryce Cotton last week but the MVP got going in the second half.
Cotton scored 29 of his game-high 34 points in the second half, including the remarkable shot to send it into OT and nine of Perth’s 13 points in the extra period.
One thing NZ will be focused on is keeping Cotton off the free throw line. The Perth star shot 17 free throws last Tuesday night – the most free throw attempts from any player in a single game this season.
