Petra Taok Al Hindy, Content producer and co host of "Good Morning Australia"

Petra Taok Al Hindy is a human-interest journalist that has a profound experience of more than 20 years in the media industry on both Radio and Television platforms in Australia and Lebanon.

Petra earned a master’s degree in Educational Psychology, graduate studies in Spiritual Accompaniment and an undergraduate degree in Journalism.

She is a proud mother of two children, a philosophy educator, a human rights activist, a trainer, and public speaker that employs her interpersonal skills and expertise in the humanitarian and interrelation fields. She shares her thoughts and life encounters through her personal blog   and was a board member of Alef- Act for Human Rights and a member of the advisory council at World Vision Lebanon. Her expertise in communication along with the psychology of human behavior enriched her content writing and gave a special perspective for her journalistic career and knowledge in content writing and media production.

Petra has joined SBS Arabic24 team as a content producer and presenter in March 2021 and has documented a centenary of immigration in the podcast “A speaking centenary of immigration” that takes you to regional Queensland on a sensational journey of belonging, departure, connection, and yearning for a homeland carried within.

Alongside the hard talk show of current affairs interviewing political leaders throughout Australia & the Arab world, she probes into very sensitive topics such as domestic violence, still birth, the stigma of the ticking biological clock of unmarried women in the Arab world & sterility to the freedom of speech, war coverage and targeting of journalists to silence the truth.

Petra Taok culminates her podcast voice journeys by a documentary with the acclaimed Lebanese artist Marcel Khalifé who journeyed with her in an intimate and profound encounter of his beginnings delving in half a centenary of music composition touring the world with his voice and Oud, and unveiling his awaited musical epic of Mahmoud Darwish’s mural in the eulogy of life and death that was composed in Australia.


Petra Taok breaks the dawn every morning joining her colleague Fares Hassan in preparing and co-hosting , SBS Arabi24 3-hour morning show.
