With her debut feature film A Star Is Born already receiving rave reviews from audiences and critics alike, Lady Gaga is enjoying a lion's share of early Oscars buzz, feeding speculation that Gaga is striving to achieve the ultimate in show business - an EGOT.
Standing for Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony, past recipients of the EGOT include Audrey Hepburn, Whoopi Goldberg, and John Legend. It's only been achieved by 15 people in history.
Fans believe that Gaga wants to make it 16 - which means that a Tony-winning stint on Broadway must be on the cards. Now it looks like they might be right.
Having attended the opening night of Randy Rainbow’s stage show, actress Rosie O’Donnell reportedly let slip that she and Gaga would be co-staring in a remake of Funny Girl, originally starring Barbara Streisand as Fanny Brice in 1964.
The comments were overheard by ABC reporter Brian O'Keefe and verified on social media by a fellow audience member.
It would be the second time Gaga took on a Streisand role, with the iconic performer starring in the 1976 version of A Star Is Born.
