Illawarra Hawks v Brisbane Bullets
Wednesday 19:30 AEST tip-off - SBS On Demand
1. Return of Patterson
Two-time All-NBL First Team selection Lamar Patterson has been activated by the Bullets this week and is set to play his first game back with his former team in this clash with the Hawks.
2. Keep throwing punches
Both these teams have lost four of their last five games and are currently on losing streaks.
The Hawks lost both of their games last week and really struggled with both Tyler Harvey (back) and Cam Bairstow (leg) out with injury. Thankfully, Harvey will be returning to the court for this clash with Brisbane.
Hawks coach Brian Goorjian said: “We’ve just got to keep our head up and keep throwing punches.”

Sydney Kings v Perth Wildcats
Thursday 19:30 AEST tip-off - SBS On Demand
3. Feisty Forde adds extra spice
There is sure to be some extra feeling involved in this clash following the comments made by Sydney head coach Adam Forde last week after his team’s loss to the Wildcats in Perth.
Forde was found to be in breach of the league’s Code of Conduct for comments made about the refereeing and was fined $5000 and suspended for one game.
While speaking about the refereeing, Forde also took a swipe at Trevor Gleeson’s constant berating of the refs from the sidelines.
Forde, of course, spent almost a decade as an assistant coach at the Wildcats with most of those years spent serving under Gleeson.

4. Back to whack
Last week the Phoenix came into Wollongong and whacked the Hawks by 32 points, reeling off an amazing 24-0 run in the third quarter to blow the game open.
It was SEM’s biggest ever win and Brian Goorjian’s biggest NBL loss since 1997. This week they’re back to try to do it all over again.

Illawarra Hawks v Cairns Taipans

Melbourne United v Brisbane Bullets
Monday 19:30 AEST tip-off - SBS On Demand
9. Happy hunting ground
The Bullets may be undermanned, but they played well in John Cain Arena throughout the NBL Cup and will take confidence from their emphatic win over United in this arena late in that tournament.
NZ Breakers v Perth Wildcats
Tuesday 19:30 AEST tip-off - SBS On Demand
10. Key match-up: John Mooney v Colton Iverson
Mooney leads the league in rebounds per game but Iverson has been the league’s most dominant rebounder over recent weeks.
