NITV will be at the heart of the NSW Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout next month, when Dubbo’s Caltex Oval welcomes a force of regional and metropolitan NSW teams to battle it out for rugby league glory. Regarded as the biggest sports gathering of Indigenous people in the world, the Koori Knockout is rugby league at its best, with over 100 teams, across the men’s, women’s and junior tournament, competing for the top prize.Kicking off the week, NITV News (Monday 28 September – Thursday 1 October, 5.30pm) will decamp to Dubbo to broadcast live from the road, focusing on local stories and hearing from community voices. The sporting action will start with live coverage from the Knockout Gala Draw (Wednesday 30 September, 9pm), including team match-ups and expert analysis, alongside celebrity guests and entertainers. Daily Wrap-Ups (Friday 2 and Saturday 3 October, 6pm) will bring viewers all the action from the first two days of the tournament and the channel will bring full day Live Match Coverage for the semi-final and grand finals clashes (Sunday 4 and Monday 5 October, 9am-5pm).

Commentating from the Oval, presenters Brad Cooke, Djuro Sen, Owen Craigie and Joey Williams will also bring viewers exclusive interviews and news and Luke Carroll will be on the side-lines for the first reactions from the ground.
