Hundreds injured as police, voters clash in Catalonia

Catalonian authorities say 90 per cent of voters in a banned referendum on independence have voted for the region to leave Spain. The referendum has triggered violent clashes between voters and Spanish riot police, with more than 800 civilians and 11 police officers reportedly injured.
