The report specifically looks at the actions of mental health services in treating the alleged suspect before Mr Manmeet's murder, but the state government has refused to release it because the matter is still before the courts.
Winnerjit Singh Goldy, a family friend who is accompanying Manmeet's mother, father and elder brother in Australia told 's that the family wants to see a quick action from the government.
"We want to see this report. We want to know what is happening with the justice system. Now it is going beyond our patience."
“We are desperately waiting for the next hearing which is scheduled on May 4 2017. If this case report is released we’d know where this case is heading," said Mr Goldy.
Mr Alisher’s brother Amit Sharma also wants to know the government’s role and the direction of the justice process.
"There are many questions that the government needs to answer. All we demand is justice."
"If the culprit had a mental health issue then why was he out on the street, and from where did he buy the chemical that was [allegedly] used to burn Manmeet to death."
Opposition Leader Tim Nicholls has joined Alisher's family in calling for the government to release the report.

"A report has been completed but instead of being accountable about this case and how the system failed, Annastacia Palaszczuk has once again decided to keep it under lock and key.”

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk released a statement on Friday saying she would meet Alisher family next week at the invitation of the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland.
"The family met the Queensland Victims Support Service on Friday and my department has also offered to see them a number of times.”
Mr Dick said he was "disappointed" the opposition was using the issue for "political advantage."
Manmeet Sharma (Alisher), a Brisbane Council bus driver was tragically killed at Moorooka on October 28, 2016.
Alisher family spokesperson, Winnerjit Singh Goldy, said they are hopeful that the case will be taken to its logical conclusion.
"The government is yet to show that they are serious in this case."
"The justice must be served at all costs. More than 20,000 people have signed an online petition ‘Life In Prison for Manmeet Alisher's murderer’. The government needs to answer these people," adds Mr Goldy.
