A 64-year-old Indian national has been charged with indecent assault of three underage girls at New South Wales’ South Coast on Tuesday, January 24.

Isack Selvanathan is accused of kissing the teenage girls on the lips and touching the breast of a 13-year-old girl at Kiama rock pools.

Wollongong Local Court denied him bail on Wednesday and the case will now come up in the court on February 1.

Selvanathan approached the girls individually, shook their hands wishing them ‘Happy New Year’ and then leaning in and kissing them on both cheeks and then on the lips, reported quoting Court documents.

He allegedly victimised a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old girls in the same manner before touching the breast of another 14-year-old girl.

Selvanathan who has been in Australia since September last year on a visitor’s visa, was detained until police arrived. He was visiting his son in Sydney who has been in the country for over a decade.

The prosecutor told the court that there was an overwhelming evidence against Selvanathan, and also opposed the bail on the grounds that he was scheduled to depart from Australia next month and presented a risk of reoffending if released, reported AAP.
