25-year-old Premjot Singh Sandhu, a lively young man from Ferozepur district of Punjab, came to Australia on a student visa and chose Perth, Western Australia to make his dreams come true. Besides living a healthy sporty life as an ace cricketer, Prem Sandhu is well connected in the community.

He received a rude shock about a month ago when he was diagnosed with blood cancer, He is currently getting treatment for bone marrow in Perth’s Fiona Stanely hospital.

Prem Sandhu is a keen cricketer and as per his Facebook profile, most of his posts and photos are from the Cricket field, enjoying the life with others.

According to his friends, Prem does have private medical insurance but that is not enough to cover the full cost of this most expensive treatment.

To cover the out-of-pocket expenses, some friends started an online fundraiser, appealing to the community to extend a helping hand.

The goal of the online fundraiser was to raise $150,000 which it has already surpassed in just about 24 hours.
