A prominent member of Brisbane's Punjabi community, Manmeet Alisher was killed on Friday morning when a 48-year-old man allegedly threw and incendiary device at him.
29-year-old Manmeet had stopped at a bus stop to pick passengers when the alleged assailant attacked him.
Manmeet died as a result of the horrific burns he had received.
He was a singer, actor and poet who performed at many community events in Brisbane and other cities of Australia. His tragic death caused an outpouring of grief among the community.
There were memorial services held for him. Candlelight vigils were organised in different cities across Australia where thousands of people turned up to pay their respect to Manmeet.

The community members have also raised their voice to demand justice for the 29-year-old.
Bus and cab drivers in different cities of Australia have united to show their support for the demand of justice.
Prayer meetings and memorial services are also being held in Manmeet's home state Punjab in India.
