Siblings Uma and Vivek Singleton began studying Italian at an early age at the Italian bilingual school in Sydney.
Both have had study experiences in Italy, Umbria and Friuli Venezia Giulia. Of her experience studying abroad, Uma remembers that she was struck by how her classmates lived: “It was so different from life we had in Australia, for example after school the students went to get an ice cream and play together. In Australia, we go home after school."
For Vivek, every culture has something to teach and travelling means "to interact with the locals, to learn the things of their life. When I lived in Italy, I learned a new way of life".
