From the Province of Lecce, to Brazil and Melbourne. The unplanned story of Vincenzo and Paola and how the obtained the permanent residency in Australia.

It is astonishing how life can suddenly change its course. Vincenzo De Paolis, born in Lecce and based in Melbourne, knows it very well as few weeks before boarding on a plane to Australia was ready to move to Belém do Pará, in the north of Brazil. It was a girl who made him change his mind, when she eventually declared to him, one step away from his departure.

Vincenzo told to SBS Italian how his life has changed since he was an entrepreneur in Italy to nowadays, six years after he arrived in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa.
