In the United States tens of millions of voters are going to the polls to choose the name of the next president. The challenge between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump remains on a knife's edge. Attention is focused on swing states such as Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. The final hours of both candidates' campaigning have been concentrated in Pennsylvania - a State that secures 19 so-called Great Voters. Kamala Harris was in the city of Allentown, where celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Lady Gaga spoke at her rally. The Democratic nominee promised Americans a better future.
"Our campaign has tapped into the ambitions and the aspirations and the dreams of the American people. We are optimistic and excited about what we will do together and we here know, it is time for a new generation of leadership in America."
Conversely, Donald Trump held four rallies in three states, saying he would be the first to acknowledge his opponent's victory if he lost. Thus, he alluded to the fears of those who fear that the presidential outcome could provoke a wave of violence in the country.
"My supporters are not violent people. I don't have to tell them that. And I certainly don't want any violence, but I certainly don't have to tell. These are great people. These are people that believe in no violence. Unlike your question. You believe in violence."
According to analysts, definite results may take a few days because of the narrow range between the two, especially if recounts are needed.

Let's go to Israel, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed Defence Minister Yoav Gallant. He cited a “lack of trust” due to differences in the management of ongoing military operations that would favour Israel's enemies as his reason. Foreign Minister Israel Katz, a Netanyahu loyalist, will replace Gallant, while Gideon Saar will take over as the new foreign minister.
“Israel Katz has already proven his abilities and his contribution to national security also as foreign minister, as finance minister, as intelligence minister for five years, and no less important than that, as a member of the political and security cabinet for many long years. He brings with him an impressive change of rich experience and executive ability. He is known as a bulldozer with a combination of responsibility and firmness, quiet firmness, and all of these are very important for managing the system."
Netanyahu and Gallant had frequent clashes during the Gaza war, and as early as March '23, the Premier had sought to remove Gallant from office. The proposal at the time caused mass protests against Netanyahu. Gallant declared that Israel's security would always remain his primary mission.

L'attenzione si concentra sugli Stati chiave - i cosiddetti Swing States - come Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin e Pennsylvania.
"Our campaign has tapped into the ambitions and the aspirations and the dreams of the American people. We are optimistic and excited about what we will do together and we here know, it is time for a new generation of leadership in America."
"My supporters are not violent people. I don't have to tell them that. And I certainly don't want any violence, but I certainly don't have to tell. These are great people. These are people that believe in no violence. Unlike your question. You believe in violence."
