Government reveals new scheme to control international student numbers

The federal government has introduced a new measure to control the numbers of international students at Australian universities next year.


It comes after proposed restrictions on international students failed to pass parliament.

This measurment, which would have required immigration staff to slow down visa processing for overseas student applicants, has come under fire from the education sector and the Opposition.
