NSW Police and ambulance were called in on Sunday noon to a house on The Horsley Drive, Smithfield in Sydney after the bodies of a man and woman were located by a relative.
A four-year-old girl was located asleep just metres away from the bodies in the home. She was unharmed, wrote 9News.
Police believe the man was aged in his 40s and woman was aged in her 30s.
The Daily Telegraph interviewed a neighbour who saw a relative walk into the house and come out with the little girl and informing the police.
“Within minutes, police and the ambulance came. It was just chaos,” he told the Daily Telegraph.
reported that the Police investigating these deaths are "not seeking other parties" over the case.
Police is yet to formally identify the man and the woman however 7 News reported that the couple was of ‘Indian-appearance’.
COUPLE HAD RECENTLY SPLIT, SAYS NEIGHBOUR
“She has been gone for months. She took the daughter with her, so I was surprised to see her car there today. It’s so sad, she is such a smart little girl. They didn’t harm her, thank God,” one neighbour said on Sunday night.
The little girl was taken to Fairfield police station last night as officers searched for carers to take her in.
