Indian family targetted by intruders in Melbourne

Police are currently searching for a vehicle following an aggravated burglary in Melbourne this morning.

Melbourne resident, Kamaljeet Kaur woke up on Monday morning to find her Audi car and her nephew's Ford stolen from her Thomastown home.

Kamaljeet and her husband Hardeep Sangha alongwith their two teenage children were asleep when offenders broke into the Clarke Street house sometime overnight through the rear door and took keys for two vehicles.

When the occupants awoke just before 6.30am, they realised one of their vehicles had been stolen and called police.

'They entered through this rear entrance. I dont know know how they opened it? We never use this door," Hardeep Sangha told .

The offenders then returned to the property about 8am, possibly in an attempt to take the second vehicle, however they left empty handed.
Police are currently searching for the stolen silver 2009 Audi sedan with registration MNJOT and Ford with registration YQW 238. 

CCTV cameras in the area captured Audi's movement a number of times this morning in the Thomastown area.

It’s believed a woman and a man are currently travelling in the vehicle.
