The International Monetary Fund says the world's economies are battling a “synchronized slowdown", calling on nations to inject a fresh round of stimulus to stem off any further slump. While Australia's global growth outlook has hit its lowest level in a decade -- the government says its priority is returning the budget to surplus, not stimulating spending.
