Mr Chrysoulakis briefed the youth on the ministry’s ambitious goal of establishing a young diasporans global network.

He made special mention of initiatives relating to Greek language learning, including the app staellinika, as well as recently established university courses taught in English.

Third and fourth generation Greeks are a main target group for the courses, Mr Chrysoulakis stressed, given they are now afforded the opportunity to study at Greek universities, regardless of their level of Greek language skills.

Hosting programs for young Hellenes living abroad were also among the focus areas of the discussion.
