The English language medical degree is part of the Study in Greece campaign, an initiative under the auspices of Greece’s Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs and the Foreign Ministry's Secretariat General for Greeks abroad
The 6-years’-long undergraduate program involves clinical skills’ development from the first semester with clinical rotations start from the fourth year.
During the final year, students are expected to have a full-time supervised clinical training in affiliated hospitals.
A total of 83 modules, including 76 courses and 7 courses – clinical traineeships, are required to be completed successfully to obtain the medical degree.
A total of 360 ECTS are equally allocated across the 12 semesters of the program.
“Upon successful completion, the students receive the Medical Degree (Ptychion Iatrikes), which is in accordance with the EU Directive 2005/36/E and gives them access to postgraduate studies (Masters), Doctorate in Medical Science (Doctorate Diplomas) and a licence to practice the medical profession in the Public and Private Sector within European Union,” the official website states.
