I told myself that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in a major event, often regarded as the 'Olympics of bodybuilding', and to represent the Philippines on the world stage. I’m honored to showcase what Filipinos are capable of achieving.Dulce Franco, Bodybuilding Champion
Her journey into bodybuilding began just two years ago in 2022, driven by a desire to improve her health and self-confidence. However, the path was not without challenges.
Dulce has been open about the struggles she faced throughout her transformation. “My followers on social media knew me as voluptuous or chubby. When I lost weight, the criticism changed. Some people accused me of looking unhealthy, saying I was too skinny. Those comments really got to me, and I decided to take a break from social media for a while,” she shared.
But stepping back didn’t mean stepping down. Dulce focused on her goals and kept pushing forward. “When people started seeing my achievements—competing internationally and proudly raising the country’s flag—they began to understand my journey. I told them, ‘It’s a process, but it’s worth it.’ Now, here I am, stronger than ever. I’m doing this not just for myself but also to bring pride to our country.”
Dedication and Discipline
Dulce credits her success to discipline and effective time management. “Ever since I started waking up at 2:10 in the morning, that’s how I begin my day. I make the most of my time by accomplishing as much as I can, often finishing my tasks early in the afternoon. I also prioritise finding quiet moments for myself. By 7:00 PM, I ensure I’m in bed to recharge for the next day,” she said.
She also highlighted the importance of a healthy lifestyle and consistent preparation. “It’s not just about physical training; it’s about balancing everything in life to be at your best.”

A Crown to Be Proud Of
Dulce views her achievements as a dream come true. “I always dreamed of becoming a beauty queen, and now, earning a crown through bodybuilding feels like one of the proudest moments of my life,” she said.
