Filipino veterans and community as well as representatives from Australia attended the remembrance of the Battle of Leyte Gulf at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne.

On May 22, in commemoration of the Philippine -Australia Friendship Day, Filipinos, Australians, and friends paid tribute to Filipino and Australian soldiers who served during the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
