Centennial 7 is composed of 15 skilled individuals, most of whom are former and current members of the Philippines' National Sailing Team and personnel from the Philippine Navy. The crew is led by veteran Filipino sailor and businessman Ernesto Echauz, who will serve as the skipper of the yacht.

Among the crew members is Ridgely Allan Balladares, the national head coach of the Philippine Sailing Team, who will serve as the main helmsman and sail master. The team also includes coaches and experienced sailors like Joel Mejarito, Bernard Floren, and Emerson Villena, all of whom bring years of expertise to the race.

Though many of the sailors have competed in international events, such as the China Sea Race and the Southeast Asian Games, the Sydney-Hobart race poses a unique challenge. The team is currently preparing for the race by familiarising themselves with the boat and equipment, ensuring they are ready for the difficult weather conditions and fierce competition.

As they compete, Centennial 7 hopes to make history while proudly representing the Philippines. For the crew, this race is not only about sailing; it’s an opportunity to showcase the talents and dedication of Filipino sailors on a global stage.
