From green 'n' gold popcorn to delicious golden pastries stuffed with cheese and spinach, these eats are perfect for any time you want to inject a little cheer and flavour into your entertaining menu.

This levelled-up damper from Adam Liaw has a mix of spinach, cheese and herbs folded through it, for extra flavour. Looks great too. Slather with butter for extra 'gold'.

Green from the zucchini and basil; gentle yellow from the fluffy scrambled eggs - a brilliant breakfast from Hayden Quinn. "it’s quick, easy and it fills you up, ready for a good day ahead," he says.

Oh yesss! Cooked gnocchi gets pan-fried until they are all crisp-edged and golden, and then tossed with a punchy homemade watercress pesto. It looks great and it's a flavour party in your mouth too. Definitely, one to cheer about.

There are multiple greens (baby spinach, rocket and kale - though you can use any types of mixed tender greens) and multiple gold (two kinds of cheese, and shortcrust pastry) in this easy tart - using storebought pastry means there's only about 10 minutes of hands-on time involved.

It's that winning combination of cheese and pesto, this time in a summery lasagna, where the meat is replaced with a fragrant basil pesto.

The coating of chopped pistachios gives these summery ice creams the green and gold touch. These icy poles freeze to be quite solid and melt rather slowly, so they're surprisingly transportable (and picnic-friendly, too).
