It's all been leading to this – the finals of Mastermind. After a season of speciality subjects such as Lady Gaga, the Nimitz UFO Sighting, Sydney architecture, the Stolen Generation, Donald Glover, Aussie slang, the history of European beers, the comedies of Shakespeare, and nuts (just to name a few), it was down to the final contestants competing to be crowned the winner of Mastermind Australia 2020.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the filming of the finals has been delayed. Social distancing safety measures and travel restrictions mean SBS are unable to safely bring the final contestants together to film the finals series episodes. Don't worry, though: to paraphrase our host Jennifer Byrne, 'we've started so we'll finish' and Jennifer will be back to present the finals in 2021, once it is safe to do so.
Renowned for having the toughest questions on any quiz show, at least this season's Mastermind finals contenders will now have some more time to study their subject and prepare for the final rounds.
