See What You Made Me Do
Hosted by investigative journalist, Jess Hill, and inspired by her award-winning book of the same name, three-part series See What You Made Me Do will ignite crucial conversations about domestic abuse and ask what needs to be done to keep women and children safer and hold perpetrators to account. Jess meets survivors who describe the shape-shifting of abusive behaviours, with violence one element among many, and talks to perpetrators and people working with them to curb their behaviours. Travelling across and outside Australia, Jess explores radical innovations which could make a seismic difference to curbing this crisis in our homes.

Atlantic Crossing
This period drama takes us to Washington, D.C. in 1940 where Crown Princess Märtha (Sofia Helin, ) and her children are living at the White House as political refugees from Nazi-occupied Norway. Her presence there influences how President Roosevelt (Kyle MacLachlan, Twin Peaks) views the unfolding tragedy in Europe. What begins as a friendship turns into affection and turmoil when Märtha courageously speaks out against the Nazis, eventually changing the course of the war. This compelling drama series includes both Norwegian and English languages.
Shrill
The third season of Shrill, based on co-creator Lindy West’s book Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman, will be its last. We haven’t been given much intel on what’s to unfold in season 3, but we’re eager to see Annie (played by co-creator Aidy Bryant) continue to kick goals as she navigates romantic ups and downs and the demands of family while building her career in journalism and having as much fun as she can along the way. Season 3 will be fast-tracked from the US.

The Devil You Know
The second season of this true crime documentary follows the stories of two macabre deaths: a bizarre murder in Pennsylvania and a suicide in Detroit that reveals Sherry Shriner’s diabolical lizard cult.

Foodie Love
This charming drama series pairs up thirty-somethings Ella and Él via an app called Foodie Love. Our would-be lovers attempt to overcome their doubts from previous relationships as they get to know each other. Will their shared devotion to Japanese yuzu and distaste for pretentious foodies be enough to build a lasting love affair? This light-hearted show from HBO Europe stars Laia Costa, Guillermo Pfening and Thony Thornburg.
Live streaming: Eurovision Song Contest!
We are back, baby! Eurovision is coming to us live from Rotterdam in the Netherlands this year, after Duncan Laurence’s 2019 win for ‘Arcade’. (We’re not talking about last year, okay?) Co-hosts Myf Warhurst and Joel Creasey are primed to get glittered up and glam to bring us all the joy and sequins we can handle. Unfortunately, Myf and Joel, and Australia’s contender, Montaigne, will not be in Rotterdam this year, but will nevertheless bring the thrill of this contest to us . Hard
When Sofia (Natália Lage) is suddenly widowed, she inherits SofiX, a pornographic film production company. Rather than getting rid of it, she not only keeps it, but makes radical changes, including making films she considers to be in good taste. This stylish, funny and salacious show is an adaptation of the French comedy of the same name, created for HBO Brazil, and it’s loads of fun.
Antidisturbios
Critically acclaimed in France and its native Spain, Antidisturbios (which translates as riot police) follows the aftermath of an eviction in Madrid which ends in a man’s death. Internal Affairs takes over, charging the six riot police officers involved with involuntary manslaughter, while Laia, one of the IA officers, discovers a more sinister story behind the ill-fated eviction. Enhancing the drama is the journey into the officers’ personal lives. Directed by Goya Award-winning filmmaker Rodrigo Sorogoyen, the six-part series (The Irish Times).
An Ordinary Woman
Season 2 of this popular thriller continues the story of 39-year-old Marina, living a double life as a well-adjusted florist and the madam of a prostitution network – quite the side hustle. Star Anna Mikhalkova won the coveted best actress award at Series Mania 2018, for her “sensitive and nuanced performance of a strong woman who constantly has to repress her most private feelings to survive in a corrupted society.” Combining an exceptional cast of strong female characters with stunning cinematography, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Marina, who we think is far from ordinary.

Creamerie
A post-apocalyptic dark comedy set in the not-too-distant future on a New Zealand dairy farm. A viral plague has wiped out all men leading to a new world order designed by women. Are you hooked yet?! Bloodlands
Two words: James Nesbitt. Want more? Nesbitt plays Northern Ireland police detective Tom Brannick, who instantly connects an expensive car pulled from the sea to an infamous cold case that holds great personal significance – a notorious, long-buried series of mysterious disappearances. From executive producer Jed Mercurio (Bodyguard, Line of Duty), this gripping four-part thriller is made for Nesbitt who as Brannick is obsessed with unmasking the semi-mythical figure behind this case, code-named Goliath. It awakens not only his own but his country’s dark past.

The Hunt for a Killer
In March 1989, Sweden was rocked by the murder of 10-year-old Helen Nilsson, in Hörby in the country’s south. For 16 years, the case remained unsolved, leaving the community shaken. Hunt for a Killer follows the unwavering journey of police officers Per-Åke Åkesson and Monica Olhed (Anders Beckman and Lotten Roos) who led the investigation team that eventually, against all odds, found Helen’s killer. The creative team who solved the case to ensure authenticity, and it shows.
Sandhamn Murders
Based on Viveca Sten’s hugely popular crime novel Still Waters, we’re on the Swedish island of Sandhamn. One beautiful summer morning is marred when a man’s body washes up to shore. Crime inspector Thomas Andreasson and colleague Carina Persson set to work through the hot days with very few leads. A holiday guest, banking lawyer and mother of two Nora Lindé, cooperates with Thomas on the case, causing friction with Nora’s husband Henrik. And when more crimes are committed, the pressure mounts on our two detectives. A worthy addition to the Nordic Noir collection, with bonus sunshine.
