Honestly, who knows what we should expect from season 2 of Atlanta. The first promo, which dropped today, looks normal enough. But series creator Donald Glover has cited 90s Warner Bros cartoon Tiny Toons as an inspiration.
Obviously, you won't be seeing Babs or Buster Bunny in the new season of the show, but Glover reportedly looked to the “Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Summer Vacation,” television movie for inspiration on the structure of the new season. That TV movie was later split-up into four episodes of the series which played like a serialized television arc.

Glover spoke recently at a Television Critics Association panel where he revealed that “In the writers room, we spent a lot of time talking about ‘How I Spent My Summer Vacation’ by the Tiny Toons,” Glover said. “That was kind of the inspiration.”

“You enjoy them if they’re together, but you can also enjoy them in little bits.”

Sounds perfect for a binge watch.

Atlanta returns to SBS VICELAND....soon.
