Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, who the Best Actress Oscar for her role, have great chemistry and give superb performances, singing and playing instruments themselves. The highly entertaining musical, which retains the style of Bob Fosse's original choreography, won six Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress for Catherine Zeta Jones, while Renee Zellweger earned a nomination for Best Actress.
