This sequel to Asterix and Obelix Vs. Caesar proved a major hit when it came out in 2002, selling more than 14 million tickets, thanks to a star-studded cast and its non-stop puns and pop culture references. Cleopatra (Monica Bellucci), Queen of Egypt, decides to prove Caesar that Egypt is the greatest civilisation by ordering the construction of a palace in the middle of the desert in only three months. Architect Numerobis, in charge of the daunting project, worries about the deadline and decides to call on the help of his friends Asterix and Obelix, druid Getafix, who thanks to his magic potion, might be able to save him from the crocodile pit.
