Great news for fans of the provocative legal drama, The Good Fight: the fight is far from over, and we can all look forward to a sixth season here on SBS.
Paramount+, which shows The Good Fight in the US, announced today that the critically acclaimed series had been renewed.
“The Good Fight’s provocative, whip smart, and no-holds-barred world remains as relevant as ever,” said Nicole Clemens, President, Paramount+ Original Scripted Series. “We are thrilled to continue The Good Fight’s enduring legacy with a sixth season and can’t wait to see what the brilliant minds behind the series, Robert and Michelle King, tackle next.” Like the current season, season 6 will be shown exclusively on SBS in Australia.
Already in season 5, we’ve seen plenty happening for Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski), Liz Reddick (Audra McDonald) and co. Diane and Marissa have found themselves arguing before ‘Judge’ Hal Wackner (Mandy Patinkin) in a very strange court; new lawyer Carmen Mayo (Australian actress Charmaine Bingwa) has joined the firm; and Diane is forced to question whether it’s appropriate for her to help run an African American law firm with Liz when Reddick, Boseman & Lockhart loses two top lawyers. And this week, in episode 4, a streaming platform asks the firm to do a sensitivity read on a popular comedian, while an FBI agent is after Diane’s husband Kurt.
