The Curse of Oak Island
What keeps brothers Rick and Marty Lagina so busy up there on Oak Island, off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada? It sounds simple enough: they are determined to find the treasure said to be buried under the island, despite what’s said to be a curse on all treasure hunters, as several before the Laginas have found out the hard way. Clearly these are two very determined treasure hunters because The Curse of Oak Island is now in its seventh season. Perhaps it shouldn’t be a surprise that they are still hunting their elusive treasure: it’s a 224-year mystery they are trying to solve. A mystery that’s held onto its secrets for that long takes determination – but as season 7 unfolds there’s plenty of discovery and excitement, including a massive and tantalising anomaly deep below the surface of a swamp, and a curious iron spike that raises questions of a link to the Knights Templar.
Season 7 of The Curse of Oak Island premieres at 9.20pm, Thursday 21 October on SBS VICELAND. Catch up with seasons 1–6 :
