Patrick Swayze is Bodhi, the suave leader of the pack, who Johnny can’t help but admire. In the surfing scenes, the waves are electrifying, including at Victoria’s Bells Beach. Point Break cemented Bigelow as an action film director after her second feature, 1989’s Blue Steel.

Roping in her best friend Alexandra, who dropped the bombshell, the pair go on the warpath to sniff out the culprits. Through the grubby streets and Chester’s usual haunts of West Hollywood, the banter between the friends is hilarious and their encounters along the way, funny and entertaining. Despite Alexandra’s desire to avoid it at all costs, there will be drama. A good and fun romp.
