Two male lions have been spotted canoodling at the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya by a wildlife photographer.
Paul Goldstein—a guide for Exodus Travels—saw the pair nuzzling and mounting each other—in a nature unlike the way male and female lions behave together.
“When lions mate it normally lasts a few seconds, these two were at it for over a minute and the obvious affection afterwards was very evident, as opposed to the violent withdrawal when male and female mate.
“Even as he dismounted he did not back off as is normal after mating, he crept round to the other male's muzzle, for a nuzzle and threw a conspiratorial wink his way.”
The CEO of the Kenya Film Classification Board–and self-described moral crusader– Dr Ezekiel Mutua has called for the two lions to be separated.
Mutua the Disney Channel show Andi Mack because of a recent episode where a 13-year-old boy comes out as gay.
Not content with just censoring film and TV, Mutua says he wants to expand his jurisdiction to the animal world.
"We [KFCB] do not regulate animals but this is a first and interesting to hear that there are two male lions in love. Some research needs to be done,” Mutua told .
“Also I wish I can get the bio to confirm the two lions were actually male, because it is not normal.
“These animals need counselling because probably they have been influenced by gays who have gone to national parks and behaved badly. I don’t know, they must have copied it somewhere or it is demonic.
"Because these animals do not watch movies.”
The classification board CEO then added that the two lions should be separated.
“That is why I will say isolate crazy gay animals, study their behaviour because it is not normal. The very idea of sex even among animals is for procreation. Two male lions cannot procreate and therefore we will lose the lion species."
Last month it was revealed that the oldest living animal is gay. A 186-year-old tortoise named Jonathan has been living with his partner on St Helena since 1991.
