When Emma Watson for the transgender community last week, countless members of the community expressed how much her solidarity meant to them - but none more-so than her young trans fans.
This was particularly evident when the mother of a trans daughter, who tweets and blogs under the pseudonym 'Fierce Mum', shared a series of touching letters and drawings from young trans kids around the world.
"Trans children were overjoyed this week to see come out for trans equality," the mum tweeted.
"Trans kids around the world are having a rough time & visible allies matter."
"On a normal day we would have a bunch of pictures from American trans kids," the mother, who blogs about her family and transgender rights, wrote.
"But their families are busy defending their right to exist."
She continued: "Trans kids need allies. They need support. They need to know the world cares."
The touching drawings and letters came after Watson uploaded a photo of herself wearing a 'Trans rights are Human rights' t-shirt, tagging a number of organisations including Stonewall, trans children’s charity Mermaids, All About Trans and Gendered Intelligence.
Back in 2014 Watson served as a UN Women Goodwill ambassador, launching the UN Women's HeForShe campaign.
