Following last week'sat the London Pride parade, Dazed magazine has launched an eye-catching projection campaign, reminding members of the public that "trans women are women".
The stunning display was a reaction to a group of trans exclusionary radical feminists ('TERFs') who led the London Pride parade last weekend, distributing flyers which carried anti-trans messages including “trans activists erase lesbians” and “a male can never be lesbian”.
Sharing an image of their projection on social media, Dazed wrote: "In 2017, one in five LGBTQ people experienced a hate crime, and even at Pride trans people were attacked."
It continued: "We stand with trans people, and the government needs to do more to protect the rights of LGBTQ people."
"Will you stand with us?"
The message formed part of the publication's ongoing #AddressTheNation campaign, which has already seen them project a number of political messages - on issues including Brexit and the UK's National Health Service - on notable public buildings such as the U.K.’s Ministry of Justice.
A lukewarm apology from the London Pride responded to outrage earlier this week by saying they did "not condone" the anti-trans message.
“We do not condone their approach and message and hope the actions of a very small number people does not overshadow the messages of the 30,000 people marching today.”
