It's been a good year for Tameka Butt. After scoring an incredible goal in a match against the USA during the in July, she helped secure Australia's overall win in the inaugural women's football tournament.
The goal also provided Australia with their first-ever win over the United States, after 28 matches against the team.
To round out the year with even more good news, Butt just announced her engagement to fellow footballer and Klepp teammate Kirsty Yallop.
The pair announced their engagement on Wednesday via social media, sharing photos from the evening. "I asked Kirsty when the sun went down," Butt wrote sharing a photo of a heart made of lights on a hillside adding, "Kirsty asked me with the sunrise on the beach".
The pair have been together since 2015, joining the Norwegian club Klepp earlier this year.
