We're finally entering everyone's favourite season - and no, we're not talking about Summer.
Awards season officially kicked off this morning, with the 2020 Grammy Awards nominations announcement.
Following on from this year's ceremony, which was , artists of the moment Lizzo and Lil Nas X have each romped it home with nominations across the board - Lizzo with an astounding 8, Lil Nas X with an equally impressive 6.
"NO F***ING WAY," Lil Nas X tweeted in response to the news.
"THANK YOU," Lizzo tweeted, adding: "This has been an incredible year for music and I'm just so thankful to even be part of it."
In a follow-up tweet, she wrote: "We are all winners. I love you. Let's have a wonderful blessed day."
Lil Nas X was nominated for his debut EP, 7, and Lizzo for her latest album, Cuz I Love You.
Lil Nas X's nominations come after he recently made history by becoming the first out gay man to , which he won for his record-breaking single 'Old Town Road'.
Other artists to rake in the nominations for next year's GRAMMYs include 17-year-old Billie Eilish (Album of the Year for When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go, plus five other nominations), Ariana Grande (Best Vocal Pop Album for Thank U, Next); and Lana Del Rey (Album of the Year for Norman F***ing Rockwell!).
According to the LA Times, this year's nominations mark the first time in history that two artists — Lizzo and Billie Eilish — have been nominated in all Top 4 categories (for best album, record of the year, song of the year and best new artist).
