In a twist that surely belongs in an episode of Black Mirror, actor and musician Jared Leto has emerged from a 12-day meditation retreat in the desert to learn about the coronavirus pandemic.
“Wow. We were totally isolated. No phone, no communication etc," Leto wrote in a post on social media.
"We had no idea what was happening outside the facility."
He added: "Walked out yesterday into a very different world. One that’s been changed forever. Mind blowing - to say the least.”
In a scene reminiscent of every "what if the world ended while we're out here?" campfire conversation in history, Leto explained that he has been inundated with messages from concerned friends and family.
“I’m getting messages from friends and family all around the globe and catching up on what’s going on," Leto continued in his social media post.
"Hope you and yours are ok. Sending positive energy to all. Stay inside. Stay safe.”
