You may not have read about it in the weekly glossies, but there has been a second royal wedding this year and it was every bit as fabulous as the first - if not a tad less, uh, extravagant.
Queen Elizabeth's third cousin once removed, 55-year-old Lord Ivar Mountbatten, has married his long-term partner, James Coyle, at a private chapel in Devon, sharing photos from the big day on Instagram.
Mountbatten captioned the photos with a touching message: “Well we did it finally!”
He added: “It was an amazing day despite the miserable British weather.”
The newlywed sent a special thank you to his three daughters from his previous 16-year marriage to Penny Mountbatten - all of whom were present on the day.
“Most importantly a massive thanks to my 3 gorgeous girls for being so understanding and supportive, without their support this could never have happened!” he wrote.
“And finally the biggest thank you to James for being just perfect.”
Mountbatten's ex-wife, who walked him down the aisle, has previously spoken out about how happy she is for the couple.
She continued: “Ivar is so much more relaxed these days. He’s so much kinder. He’s become a great cook.
“He probably wasn’t even aware that by keeping his sexuality a secret it was really quite tormenting him."
She added: “Now it’s ‘out’ he’s a completely different person. Everybody says they’ve never seen him happier."

Now, where do we buy the commemorative plates?!
