Harry Styles made history as the first ever male cover model of US Vogue for its but that wasn't what got the Internet talking. Instead it was Styles' choice of outfits that included a floor length dress that stopped people in their tracks and gained criticism from certain conservative commentators.
Many of Styles' fans were happy with the singer's choice of clothing.
However Styles' dress sense seemed to rub some conservative commentators such as Candace Owens and Ben Shapiro the wrong way.
Their comments were quickly refuted by fans and celebrities alike who came to the defence of Harry Styles.
"You're pathetic," tweeted actor Olivia Wilde in response to Candace Owens' tweet.
Fellow actor Elijah Wood also questioned Owens' take on what makes a man.
"Real men aren't afraid to show their feminine side," a fan tweeted.
Styles has about how he chooses to dress by saying: "In terms of how I wanna dress... I want things to look a certain way. Not because it makes me look gay, or it makes me look straight, or it makes me look bisexual, but because I think it looks cool."
