The internet has responded with an outpouring of love for a grandmother and her bisexual granddaughter in the Netherlands.

Suna Huls posted a photo to Tumblr of her grandma proudly holding a rainbow jumper she had knitted—her way of showing support after Huls came out to her.

Under the username , Huls uploaded the photo with a caption saying: “I told my grandma I was bisexual a few weeks ago and today she gave me this, my grandma made me a rainbow sweater.”
The photo was then posted to Twitter where it has since received hundreds and thousands of likes and re-tweets.

Speaking to , Huls said she had no idea the post would go viral.

“I was kind of overwhelmed. I had no idea it was going get so much attention. I was also happy, because I got to show the world how amazing my grandma is.”

Huls says that after losing her mother in August last year, she and her grandmother have been through a difficult time.

“I called her on Friday and told her she is Internet famous. It made me so happy to hear her laugh. I haven’t heard her laugh like that in a while.”

Twitter users have hailed the Dutch grandmother as a role model with many pledging to be like her when they’re older.

The post even caught the eye of singer Troye Sivan who wrote on the site, “I’m the grandma”.

Since the post went viral, Huls has been outed to her entire family.

“It’s an epic way to do it. It turned out better than I thought,” says Huls.
