Hollywood heavyweights Jodie Foster, Laverne Cox and Cher are among those featured in a powerful new video encouraging American women to vote in the upcoming US midterm elections.
The video, directed by Foster, includes stars Olivia Munn, Ellen Pompeo, Lily Tomlin and Julianne Moore, raising issues like healthcare and gun control.
"What matters to you?" Cher then asks to camera.
"Women’s voices are being listened to in a way that they haven’t been before," Foster says in the video.
"And it’s not just women candidates. It’s women voters and women activists."
The openly gay actor and director finishes by urging women to make their voice heard by voting.
"Women across the country have concerns and strong points of view and they can make a difference by going to the polls on November 6," she said.
"We hope that this campaign, featuring familiar faces in the entertainment industry, will inspire others to share their views and more importantly take action on Election Day."
"It really matters."
US midterm elections will be held on November 6.
