Aussie Caleb Ewan is ready to claim his first stage win of the season as he joins compatriot Lucas Hamilton on Jayco-AlUla’s lineup for the five-day race which will also feature WorldTour stars Adam Yates, Brian Coquard, Warren Barguil, Fabio Jakobsen and Diego Ulissi.
Also set to take to the start line is veteran Alexander Kristoff, the most prolific stage hunter in the history of the race, who will be looking to claim his tenth stage victory.
Journeyman Australian Nathan Earle is also set to take to the startline with the 2023 Tour of Japan winner rarely too far away from the podium in Asian events.
The 2024 tour of Oman, the 13th edition of the race, will cover a total of 867.4km over five stages.
The opening stage is a 181.5-kilometre race around the Oman capital of Muscat starting at the Oman Across the Ages Museum and finishing with a likely bunch sprint at the Oman Convention and Entertainment Centre.
Gruelling mountain top finishes await the peloton on Stage 3 with a challenging 169-kilometre route from Bidbid to Eastern Mountain, as well as on Stage 4’s 205-kilometre journey from Al Rustaq Fort to Yitti Hills.
The final stage is a 138.7-kilometre route from Imty to Jabal Al Akhdhar.
