Bucks have draft pick stripped for Bogdanović breach

Milwaukee Bucks have lost their 2022 second round draft pick after the NBA found they breached rules trying to sign Bogdan Bogdanović.

The 2020-21 NBA season is fast approaching and SBS will again broadcast two live, regular season games per week in HD on SBS VICELAND and streamed live via SBS On Demand - starting December 27.

After an investigation, the NBA announced on Tuesday that Milwaukee had breached league rules in relation to the timing of permitted free agency discussions.

Namely, that the Bucks had contract discussions with Bogdanović and/or his agent before it was allowed.

The investigation found that discussion did take place, 'constituting conduct detrimental to the NBA', and the league has taken away Milwaukee's second round draft pick for next season as punishment.

An NBA statement said the punitive action 'took into account the Bucks’ cooperation with the investigation, the absence of evidence of any impermissible early agreement on the terms of a contract between the Bucks and Bogdanović, and the fact that the team ultimately did not sign Bogdanović'.
