Best known for her role on the supernatural BBC drama "Being Human," Sinead Keenan has also appeared in the satirical soap opera "Moving Wallpaper" and enjoyed a successful stage career. Pickering, who harbored dreams of becoming an actress since she was a child, made her acting debut in 1998 on the long-running Irish soap opera "Fair City" when a new branch of the Phelan family was introduced. She portrayed Farrah, Natalie Phelan's (Barbara Bergin) headstrong daughter, for four seasons of the popular daytime series. After leaving the show in 2003, Keenan spent the next few years playing minor roles in films like the romantic comedy "Trouble with Sex" and TV series like the medical soap opera "Doctors." In 2008 Pickering was cast on "Moving Wallpaper" as Kelly Hawkins, an overworked and underpaid production assistant on Echo Beach, "Wallpaper"'s show-within-a-show. The show, which was initially well-received, was canceled due to poor ratings the following year, after which Pickering scored a cameo role in the two-part 2009 "Doctor Who" Christmas special. Since 2009 she has portrayed fiery-tempered werewolf Nina Pickering on "Being Human," about the tense and uncomfortable relationships between a vampire, a ghost, and a werewolf sharing an apartment in modern-day England.
