Born in New York City, actor Robert Maschio is best known for his role as Todd Quinlan on the medical comedy "Scrubs." Maschio began his acting career with a 1996 appearance on the sitcom "Spin City," but he had no major roles until he joined the cast of "Scrubs" in 2001, portraying "The Todd," an obnoxious medical student who often referred to himself in the third-person. Despite his knuckleheaded approach, Maschio's character eventually became a respected surgeon on the show, and the actor was featured on the series for much of its nine-season run. Outside of "Scrubs," Maschio appeared in the independent films "Date or Disaster," which he co-wrote, and "Desertion," and turned up in a guest spot an episode of the lauded TV show "Veronica Mars." Maschio also branched out beyond comedy into soap operas in '06, appearing on numerous episodes of the long-running series "As the World Turns."
