In East Berlin, Suzie is expelled from high school and assigned to work as a factory worker. Her overwhelming life takes a turn when she meets Coyote, a photographer who opens the doors to the fashion world for her, and the two start an affair.

In 1991, the Berlin Wall has fallen, and the ZERV, a special investigative unit is established to deal with major crimes. When a ZERV witness is murdered, the subsequent investigation reveals that the murder may be part of a much bigger crime.
