Marcia Bennett was widely known for her acting on the big screen. Early on, Bennett mostly landed roles in various films, including the comedic adventure "Adventures in Babysitting" (1987) with Elisabeth Shue, "Trapped in Paradise" (1994) with Nicolas Cage and "Billy Madison" (1995). She also was featured in the miniseries "Glory! Glory!" (1989-1990). She additionally landed roles in the TV movies "A Matter of Sex" (NBC, 1983-84) and "He's Fired, She's Hired" (CBS, 1984-85). Her film career continued throughout the nineties and the early 2000s in productions like the Denzel Washington dramatic biopic "The Hurricane" (1999), the action film "Bless the Child" (2000) with Kim Basinger and the dramatic musical "Glitter" (2001) with Mariah Carey. She also appeared in the dramedy "Serendipity" (2001) with John Cusack. Recently, she continued to act in the mystery thriller "The Woods" (2006) with Patricia Clarkson and the Dustin Hoffman fantastical comedy "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" (2007). She held additional roles in television including a part on "Beauty and the Beast" (CW, 2012-16). Most recently, Bennett appeared in "Northpole 2: Open for Christmas" (Hallmark Channel, 2015).
