A French screenwriter and director, Laetitia Masson started out in the field relatively young, unveiling her earliest films while still in her 20s. Masson's second feature, the 1995 romantic drama "En avoir (ou pas)," includes fellow Gallic filmmaker Claire Denis in a rare acting role. The movie garnered acclaim for both Masson's direction and the performance of lead actress Sandrine Kiberlain. The pair reunited for the lauded 1998 mystery "For Sale" and again for the dream-like drama "Love Me." Although subsequent Masson films have generally received less international attention, she has remained active, notably with the 2008 crime movie "Coupable."
